Mission Statement
Our mission is to work towards the elimination of poverty housing in York County and to stir the hearts and minds of others to take action on this issue.Habitat for Humanity York County was founded in 1985 by Miles Freeman and a small group of dedicated individuals. Since that time, Habitat and the greater York County community have completed 33 homes in York County for people in need of decent, affordable housing. Our homes are durable, affordable, energy efficient, easy to maintain and enhance the neighborhoods in which we build. Habitat families assume an affordable mortgage and their payments go to build future Habitat homes.
