Haven House NWI

Haven House NWI is an domestic violence shelter in Hammond, Indiana for domestic violence survivors and their children.

Haven House continues to strive to provide comprehensive services to meet the needs of our clients. Haven House not only provides emergency shelter to domestic violence survivors and their children but also provides supportive services to assist survivors in residence at the shelter and in the community in order to become self-sufficient. Haven House also provides 24-hour crisis intervention, information and referrals, support and advocacy, and case management services.

Haven House works with residents in the shelter with setting weekly goals in order to obtain stability with housing and employment, provides weekly individual and group counseling sessions with an on staff MSW, as well as provides weekly groups on DV 101, empowerment, employment services and nutrition/health education. By providing comprehensive services and case management, Haven House will assist clients in the shelter and in the community with increasing independence and the ability to break free from their abuser.
