About
Hearts & Hammers is a local non-profit organization providing free exterior painting andminor repairsfor income qualified homeowners across the Twin Cities. We assist Senior Citizens, Disabled Individuals, and Veterans of the US Armed Forces or their surviving spouses.
Mission Statement
Home improvements are limited to exterior painting and minor repairs. Work may include: exterior painting, caulking/weather stripping, siding/trim repair, railings/ramps, stair/walkway, gutter repair, and landscaping renewal.The purpose of this work is to restore the character of the home, surrounding neighborhood, and to improve the home's weatherproofing and security.
Volunteers make our mission at Hearts & Hammers possible. We have several individual volunteering opportunities for people of all ages, experience levels, and time availability. Help us make a difference and sign up to be a volunteer below.

Hearts & Hammers relies on hundreds of dedicated volunteers each year.
Theyprovide laborfor ourhome improvement program. Local area businesses, professional associationsand churches accountfor a majorityof the teams that participate.
A typical Hearts & Hammers project will accommodate 10 to 50 volunteers making Program Day a team building and/or networkingopportunity for all participants.

Wereable to help deserving homeowners thanks to the partnerships developed with local organizations that recruit volunteers, donate money and provide materials and services. These partnerships are vital to sustaining Hearts & Hammers and are the foundation of success.
