About this Opportunity
The Collin County Farm Museum is looking for a person to help with some specific restoration projects. We are looking for a skilled individual who can take on one or more mechanical projects, such as:
- Rumney Oil Pull (tractor) - this is not a full restoration but needs to be assembled enough for a static display
- Hart-Parr (tractor) - needs maintenance and operation work
Besides the specific projects listed above, we could also use assistance maintaining the tractors already restored and would appreciate assistance withvehicle upkeep.
- Experience with diesel engine and pony gasoline engine used in John Deere 70 series tractors
- Experience with automotive or industrial (tractor) electrical and fuel system
- Experience with driving historic tractors and vehicles (Model T, c. 1911
The Restoration Volunteers are a small team of individuals who work on separate projects but assist each other when needed. Incoming volunteers need to be able to work independently yet interface with and assist other team members as needed.
