Are you passionate about empowering young women and making a difference in your community?

As a member of the IT Committee at Twst4Girls, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging technology to support the organizations mission of empowering girls through education and technology. You will collaborate with fellow committee members to enhance the nonprofits technological infrastructure, ensuring that it effectively meets the needs of staff, volunteers, and the girls we serve.This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and a commitment to our mission, ensuring that technology serves as an effective tool in fostering learning and growth.

Technology Infrastructure and Maintenance

• Ensure TWST4Girls' technology infrastructure (hardware, software, network) is secure, up-to-date, and maintained.
• Oversee the setup, maintenance, and upgrading of IT equipment, including computers, tablets, projectors, and other technological devices.
• Develop and enforce policies for IT best practices, security, and data protection to prevent unauthorized access and maintain data integrity.

Database and Systems Management

• Maintain and monitor the organizations database systems, particularly the Innovative Mentoring System, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with privacy standards.
• Assist in inputting and updating data for volunteers, mentees, and other participants.
• Oversee database training and provide guidance to staff and mentors to effectively use and update information as needed.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

• Provide timely technical support for staff, volunteers, mentors, and mentees as they encounter issues with technology used in the program.
• Resolve issues related to hardware, software, connectivity, and digital tools to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Digital Platforms and Software

• Manage and oversee the organizations digital platforms, including Google Classroom, Google Meets, Google Mail, and other online collaboration tools.
• Provide training sessions for TWST4Girls staff, volunteers, mentors, and mentees to ensure familiarity and proficiency in using these digital tools.
• Implement and promote best practices for virtual engagement to improve the overall digital experience for participants.

Website and Social Media Management

• Collaborate with the PR & Marketing Committee to manage and maintain the organizations website, ensuring the content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with TWST4Girls' mission.
• Support integration of the website with social media and other platforms to improve outreach and engagement.

Innovation and Strategic Planning

• Identify emerging technologies and recommend digital solutions to support the organization's strategic goals and improve operational efficiency.
• Research and advise on tools that enhance communication, collaboration, program delivery, and data management within the organization.
• Participate in strategic discussions regarding the future IT needs of TWST4Girls, proposing enhancements that align with the organizations vision and mission.

Cybersecurity

• Implement cybersecurity measures, policies, and protocols to protect the organizations data, communications, and digital assets.
• Conduct regular audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Educate staff, volunteers, and program participants on safe online practices to protect sensitive information.
