About this Opportunity
Are you an animal lover who’s passionate about helping abandoned and abused pets find homes? Have you been looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of animals who need help healing and finding their forever families? Well, we’re looking for people exactly like you!
Hi! My name is Cindy Yee King and I’m the founder of the Grace Animal Rehab Center. GARC is a small but successful non-profit in the Sapulpa, Oklahoma area. Since 2017, we’ve been rescuing and rehabilitating cats and dogs in need, and placing them in loving homes.
Now, we’re looking for some Board Members to join us in changing the lives of our rescued pets!
We need people who can:
- Assist in developing policies and procedures to support our mission
- Act as community ambassadors to share our mission with the public
- Participate in fundraising, marketing, PR, legal, and accounting duties - depending on your skills
- Attend bi-annual or as-needed board meetings - remotely or in person
- And supporting GARC in meeting goals and keeping promises to the public, donors, and beneficiaries.
If you’re local, we’d also love for you to volunteer at our fundraising events and even help with our wonderful animals.
If you have skills in communications, writing, PR, graphic design, accounting, law, or animal care and training, that’s a huge plus.
The time commitment is only 10 to 15 hours a month - but we’d be delighted if you can spare a little more.
To learn more about our mission, our animals and our plans for the future, please visit our website at Garcok.org.
To apply to become a volunteer board member, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your qualifications and passion for animal welfare to [email protected].
